STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBER
Bo Garner, CPA, MBA
Why am I a [Re]Builder? I am dedicated to addressing the local housing crisis in Hampton Roads. With a deep commitment to community service and a passion for creating safe, affordable housing, I believe that everyone deserves a place they can proudly call home. Recognizing the pressing need for support in our neighborhoods, together we can mobilize resources, engage volunteers, and collaborate with local organizations to repair and revitalize homes for those in need. By empowering families and strengthening our community, we will make a lasting impact on the lives of residents in Hampton Roads. What good is it if we do nothing about others’ physical needs? Let’s rebuild homes and restore hope.
STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBER
Sabrina Jones
I vividly remember when my parents purchased their first home; I was in high school. It was huge for them. It was an old home that needed repairs, many of which they could not afford. I remember we rarely used the basement because of flooding and inadequate plumbing. There was lead in the paint and the oil radiators had constant problems. They barely earned above the poverty level, so getting assistance was out of the question. Rebuilding Together would have done so much for us back then helping to create a safe and healthy living space. I'm thrilled to be in a position to share more about this wonderful organization and how it could expand the work already taking place locally.
STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBER
Steve Cook
Steve Cook is a long-time resident of Hampton Roads currently living in Poquoson. Steve has worked in economic development at the local and regional level in our area for over 20 years and is currently the Chief Innovation Officer overseeing the Business, Youth Services and Talent Alignment operations for the Hampton Roads Workforce Council.
I like the idea of Rebuilding Together’s mission to help older adult, veterans, and people with disabilities with home repairs to keep them safe and healthy. Something that we often take for granted, but can make a huge impact for those in need of simple repairs.
